Community Chiropractic Sends Supplies to Schoolchildren in Iraq

July 30, 2004 -- During the month of June $1,600 worth of school supplies were collected from the patients at Community Chiropractic on the north side of Chicago. Dr. Stephanie Maj has been practicing Chiropractic at 3210 N. Southport Ave for 8 and half years. Each June she has a patient appreciation day and month long new patient promotion. This year the office adopted two schools in Baghdad.

Dr Maj has a cousin, SFC Jeff Mallo, serving in the US Army in Baghdad. He will receive and distribute the supplies to separate boys and girls schools. While he has been there he has befriended the local kids and was made aware of the fact that the children had absolutely no supplies for their schools.

"No matter what your politics, without education, no kid has a chance. This was a perfect opportunity for Community Chiropractic to effect a change in a community far away from us" – Dr. Stephanie A. Maj
