Dr. Schlobohm Travels To The Olympics To Help Athletes Bring Home The Gold.
August 14, 2004 -- New Providence Chiropractic is excited to announce they will be hosting a continuing fundraiser for the World's Greatest Athlete Chiropractic Decathlon Club. For the entire month of August, New Providence Chiropractic will be donating first day services (a $310.00 value) to new patients in exchange for a minimum $20.00 donation to the World's Greatest Athlete Chiropractic Decathlon Club. The Club is a non-profit organization, charged with the goal of sweeping decathlon Gold, Silver, and Bronze in Athens, Greece.
"Our office is really looking forward to giving back to the country. We love this opportunity to give our time and talents to people in exchange for their donation that will help bring medals home to the United States. This past March, we were honored to have the 1976 Olympic Gold medal winner Bruce Jenner visit New Providence Chiropractic to also help bring awareness to this cause. The greatest athletes in the world know and understand the iimportance of chiropractic care and New Providence Chiropractic is excited to help sponsor these athletes in getting the proper training and care they need to excel to their fullest potential," states Dr. Schlobohm.
Here is what Tom Pappas, 2003 World Decathlon Champion and Olympic Gold Medal hopeful has to say regarding his Chiropractic care: "Staying healthy is probably the biggest key for any world-class decathlete. I see a chiropractor twice a week because it gives me what my body needs to stay healthy and have that extra advantage. Chiropractic care is a huge part of my success in staying healthy, but I have to admit I didn't always feel that way. Actually before the first experience I had with chiropractic care I wasn't too big on the idea. Then I met Dr. Schlobohm at a track meet and actually the first time I saw him I was having quite a few physical problems. He gave me an adjustment to help prepare me physically for the meet and I actually set 3 personal bests that day. Obviously, I train at a high level for the Decathlon but I enjoy doing it because I enjoy staying fit and I feel good about my life. Chiropractic care is definitely something I think everyone should look into doing for their maximum health."
Following two grueling days of competition, Tom Pappas and Paul Terek found their names at the top of the scoreboard with a crowd of cheering doctors awaiting them at the end of the track. "It was an absolutely thrilling experience to stand there at the end of the trial and watch Tom and Paul receive the well-earned title Olympian," said Dr. Schlobohm. New Providence Chiropractic is excited to say that we have received word from the two athletes and are happy to pass along their thanks to the community for the financial support it provided. Your generous donations to New Providence Chiropractic were sent on to the World's Greatest Athletes Chiropractic Decathlon Club and were used to fill the needs of the athletes as they trained for the trials. Dr. Schlobohm is also happy to report that both athletes are in excellent physical condition and continue to receive and benefit from chiropractic care to sustain their maximum physical performance. Pappas and Terek will continue to train heavily over the next month as they prepare to compete in Athens at the 2004 Olympic games, and New Providence Chiropractic will continue to update you on their progress.
